St George’s C of E Primary School

St. George’s School nestles in the heart of the Clun Valley, surrounded by the beautiful South Shropshire countryside in the west midlands of the UK.
We are a small school with only four classes which enables children to be taught within a two-year age range. Our school currently has approximately 80 children on roll; small enough to ensure each child is valued as an individual, but large enough to have a football team! Our children begin school at St. Georges from three years old and leave for secondary school when they are 11. We provide before and after-school care and are highly regarded for our work with children with Special Needs.
Our mission is to provide a caring, stable environment and academic excellence, bound by our strong Christian values and supported by our community, whilst preparing our pupils for their life-long learning journey. We believe that Education for Sustainable Development is core to this mission.
We have a National Curriculum https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/national-curriculum. We have also devised an ESD policy for our school to make sure that ESD in integrated into our school culture and all teaching and learning.
We are a European Green Flag Eco School and ‘Forest School’ is well-established and integrated into our school life.
St. George’s School was judged ‘good’ by Ofsted and outstanding by SIAMS in 2016
